INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) -- Indianapolis police said a man with his arm in a sling asked a hotel clerk for help and then robbed her of $200 when she opened her protective glass barrier.
Police said Adrian Phillips, 24, a clerk at the Dollar Inn, was working the desk at 5 a.m. Thursday when a man with his arm in a sling began checking in and asked for extra help, the Indianapolis Star reported Thursday.
Phillips told police she opened the protective glass to assist the man and he pulled out a chrome-plated revolver.
"Give me all the money or I will kill you," the police report quotes the man as saying.
The man ordered Phillips to the ground and fled with $200 from the cash register, police said.
