I Guess She Didn't Listen!


The next time you make a sauce that starts with a saute of onions and/or garlic and calls for tomato paste, try adding the tomato paste as the next ingredient, instead of waiting to add it with any liquids later on. Allowed to cook a little, the paste will caramelize, darken a bit in color and provide deeper flavor.
